Kobe Harborland at Night
After a long day of touring Kobe, my family and I finally settled down at Hotel Okura. Since we were still full from the filling lunch we had at Mouriya Sannomiya, we decided to take a stroll at Kobe Harborland before dinner. Kobe Harborland is an entertainment district with tons of amusement, shops, hotels and restaurants. The night view was beautiful. I managed to take some lovely shots there.

We went to Mosaic (one of three sections of the huge shopping complex) to look for our dinner. After walking around for a while, we chanced upon a lobster restaurant, Chunagon. My mum wanted to have seafood for dinner that night so we decided to give the place a try. We ordered 3 sets of the Wakamatsu Course.

We were each given a small glass of aperitif. It's a sweet alcoholic drink that's supposed stimulate our appetite. Although it's not something we have in Singapore, it seems quite common in Japan. After our appetizer, the main dish came. The spiny lobster salad tasted just as good as it looks in the photo! The portion was very generous as well.
The soup and side dishes that came after were good too. Soon after, we were served with ice cream. It seemed strange to be served dessert in the middle of the course. We were all debating if had finished the course. To our surprise, we were only a little more than halfway done. I guess the sour “lemon-taste” ice cream was to cleanse our taste palette and give our tummy a little rest before continuing.
After finishing another 2 dishes, our real dessert finally came. Although this was the cheapest course on the menu, the variety and serving exceeded expectations. Other courses included abalone and sashimi. In Singapore, just an average lobster would cost approximately $60 SGD. Considering the quality and quantity, the meal was worth the price.

Kobe Harborland in the Day
After checking out of our hotel the next day, we decided to go to Harborland again to take some day photos. Even though I didn’t get to spend much time there, it was an enjoyable stay. Maybe next time I’ll visit their museums and board the ferris wheel!
